Traffic Roundup Fast Start Tips
Using Banners In Traffic Roundup
If you would like to follow along in the members area, Click Here to open the Traffic Roundup Main Member Page in a new window.
Banners, of course are a great alternative way to promote your business.
Impressions are exposures of your banner. For example, a member of TrafficRoundup sees your banner while they are surfing; that is an impression.
There are a couple of ways to get banner impressions on TrafficRoundup:
1) purchase them in the members area
2) by trading credits that you earned while surfing
Banners that are allowed in rotation on Roundup are size 468x60. Most sites that give you banners to use will tell you the size of the banner. If not, you can right click on the banner then left click on Properties and it will tell you what size the banner is.
There are two links/urls involved in placing a banner into rotation:
1) Ad URL: this is the url of where the banner can be found
2) Site URL: this is the url to the web page you want people to go to when they cli.ck your banner
This is what you should see: View Graphic
To add your banner into rotation on TrafficRoundup:
1) log into the TrafficRoundup members area
2) click Banner Manager at the top of the page
3) read the rules for adding banners
4) in the Ad URL box put the url/link to the location where the image is stored (not on your computer)
5) in the Site URL box put the link where you want members to go when they click on your banner.
Remember:
Ad URL - link to your banner (your ad/advertisement)
Site URL - link to the website you are promoting
6) click the Save button - if you did these steps correctly your banner should now show
7) to assign credits you would click the Assign button.
If you have banner credits click to assign them, if you don't, click the Convert Credits to Banner Impression Credits link above and trade some of your credits for impressions; or you can buy banner impressions by clicking the Purchase Credits at the top of the page.
If you need more information about banners you can click the link in the Banner Manager that says: "Need help with banners? Read this tutorial." Or, see this page.
We very much appreciate your Traffic Roundup membership.
Please let us know if you have any questions or problems.
