Categories and the TrafficRoundup Directory

If you would like to follow along in the members area, Click Here to open the Traffic Roundup Main Member Page in a new window.

Categories

We have previously discussed choosing the right category when adding your website. Today we will discuss choosing categories that you would like to see while surfing.

On the Main Member Page, as you scroll down about half way, you will see a list of categories that you can choose to view while you are surfing.

You will probably want to choose more than one category. This because if a category you are surfing runs out of sites for you to view, you will be asked to log in and select more categories, or come back the next day to surf.

You will also want to keep this in mind when assigning your websites to certain categories. A website you put in Business Opportunities might also fit under Home Based Business. If you don't put it there, people only surfing Home Based Business will not see your site. So, it's good to assign your urls to more than one category, as long as they are appropriate.

Traffic Roundup Free Directory

You can find the Roundup Directory by going to top of the page and clicking on Free Directory. There will you see a list of categories. Look familiar?

These are the same categories which you can choose to view and assign your website urls. This is why it's important to choose a good Title and Description to your urls.

Tip: Only sites with credits assigned to them will be shown in the directory. These views do not use up your credits.

When you click on a category you see title and description to our members sites. This is very helpful if you are looking for something in particular.

Notice there is no General category. Sites in that category are not shown, mostly because that's where our members whom use rotators must put those. So, if want to be seen in the directory:

1) don't use a rotator
2) don't choose the General category
3) make sure you have credits assigned to your urls

Tip: Pro members get priority listing in the directory.

Remember, TrafficRoundup is promoted everywhere on the Internet and the link to that directory is at the top of the page. You don't know who might come across your listing.
